When should you book your 2018 yacht charter holiday - early or late?
With cold and snow winter days in most of the Europe, it might seem a bit early to start thinking about summer holidays. But if you want to take a vacation on your terms, we suggest that now is the best time to make the plans about your sailing holidays in Croatia.
Savvy sailors looking for the best availability, cheapest price and guaranteed space on their chosen yachts and dates of their holidays, book in advance. December and January are sale periods for many charter companies in Croatia, and some of the deals are really worth of catching - particularly for holidays in the peak summer months.
Availability is the key reason to book your summer sailing holiday now: if you want to sail on the Adriatic coast in July and August, the best yachts can be sold out many months ahead.
If you have a family with school-aged children, job with restricted holiday periods or have already set idea for the type of the yacht you want to sail on, booking it as soon as possible will be your best deal.
But, most people think the best offers are always available only in the last minute, right? Wrong!!
Early booking means you can take advantage of early bird discounts which can be up to 20% on total price of the yacht, also with free or highly discounted extras – all of which can greatly reduce the total cost of your sailing holiday.
Also, if you book your summer sailing holiday now, you will pay only 50% of the charter amount now and the full balance latest 4 weeks prior to departure. So, this gives you plenty of time to save up for your balance and spending money, especially in case of booking of the high season charter terms.
On the other hand, last minute deals usually require a full payment at the time of booking and, if you decide to pay for your holiday by credit card, you may still be paying for your holiday long after you get back home. Early booking will allow you plenty of time to save up for your holiday and pay off the final balance.
Again, if you’re flexible and purely motivated by price, and you have nerves of steel, a last-minute deal might be better for you. Sign up to our newsletter to get the best chance of getting those killer deals before anyone else.
