One of the funniest, but most intimidating parts of your sailing holiday might be deciding for your itinerary. We recommend planning one, with lots of room for changes, even better to plan it with someone who’s been in Croatia before. Be prepared to modify it as things come up along the way. You might be having a lot of fun in one place and decide to stay there longer or your crew might be seasick and not be up for a long sail according the plan and program. Flexibility and options are keys of success!
How to plan your 7 days sailing itinerary in Croatia

To give you possibilities, here’s an example of a 7 day itinerary starting from Sukošan, D-marin, marina Dalmacija, Croatia:

Day 1 – Check the provisioning
Check-in procedure and embark your boat. If your check-in procedure finished in reasonable time you will be able to sail out from marina to Ždrelac passage. It’s a short sail, so if you’ll get sailing out a bit later, you’ll be ok. There is a bay with buoys and it's pretty well protected, so you can spend a safe night here.

Day 2 – Ždrelac – Telašćica
This is a longer sail upwind, so if your crew is new or you get a late start, you might want to change your plan. Stop at Sali (Dugi otok) or Iž (island Iž) instead. You can also motor from Sali through passage Mala Proversa and continue to Telaščica where you can sleep over.

Day 3 – Telašćica – Murter (Tisno)
Get an early start, sail to the end of Kornati islands by noon, take a break by stopping for lunch and snorkel in one of the bays and continue forward to island Murter. There are few possibilities to stop. Marina Jezera is a great place to stay or motor forward to place Tisno. Mour at the local docks and dine in one of the best restaurants there - Konoba Brošćica.

Day 4 – Tisno - Skradin

This is not a long sail. Stop for a lunch and a snorkel somewhere near Prvić. Sleep in Skradin in beautiful secured marina which is also an ideal start point to visit National Park ‘Krka waterfalls’ just behind the corner.

Day 5 – Skradin – Zlarin

Visit Krka waterfalls, and in the afternoon proceed near island Zlarin. Short trip, but after Krka waterfalls it will be just fine to relax the rest of the day on Zlarin, famous for its corals tradition.

Day 6 – Zlarin – Vrgada
During sailing from Zlarin, you can stop on Prvić in case you decided to skip it before, or set your sails straight to Vrgada island. Stop at the Indians and the Caves if you didn’t see them the first day. You can also check into islands Arta Vela or Arta Mala for a lunch break.

Day 7 – Vrgada – Sukošan
Stop on the south of the island Pašman for a swim and snorkel, and decide wich side of Pašman you want to see when turning back to Sukošan. You can also stop in Biograd for quick lunch.

You might also want to add extra snorkel stops, like at the islands Kaprije or Kakan. Or you may want to skip Tisno, and Jezera and do more short hops. Fit in a trip to Nature Park Telašćica on your way back to snorkel over the Lake ‘Mir’ or take a short hike and check the magnificent view of cliffs.

You may also want to know where you can and refill your boat with gas and water. If you are on a sailing yacht, it’s unlikely you’ll need extra fuel during a weeklong stay. If you are careful with your water, you will need maybe one stop with water tanking. However, if everyone from the crew is taking longer showers, you might want to plan for a water refilling for more than one time. More important, here is the list of places with electricity on this route: Sali, Jezera, Skradin, Zlarin, Kaprije, Biograd, Sukošan.
